Reading the portal
You can read the portal without an account. It does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not track you across websites. To keep the service secure, the server records technical access logs (IP address, time, requested address and browser), which are deleted after seven days.
Your accessibility settings and your language choice are stored only in your own browser. If you ask the guide a question, your browser keeps an identifier of the conversation for the current session.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we process your e-mail address, the topics and language you choose, and the time of your consent and confirmation, so that we can send you the stories you asked for. The legal basis is your consent. A subscription is valid only after you confirm it with the link we send you. You can change your topics or unsubscribe at any time with the link in every message; we then stop sending immediately. Messages are delivered through an e-mail delivery service acting as our processor.
The guide (Ask Slovenia)
Questions you ask the guide and its answers are stored without your name or address for twelve months and then deleted. We use them to see which questions remain unanswered and to improve the portal. To answer, your question is processed by a language model provider acting as our processor. Please do not enter personal data in your questions. Your IP address is used only briefly to prevent abuse and is not stored with the conversation.
Editors
Editors of the portal sign in with EDP ID. For them the portal stores a session cookie and their name and e-mail address, to show who edited a story.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object, and to withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect processing before the withdrawal. Write to gp.ukom@gov.si. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si.
